Fox 4 Paintball in MA closing for good.

Another great field closing forever. Fox 4 Paintball in Upton Massachusetts was my home field for years until I couldn't play anymore. The last days of public playwplay be the weekend of September 5 & 6.

Does anyone want to go with me on the last day and represent?

I just discovered that field a few months ago. Owner seemed like a cool dude. They had done some impressive field work out in the woods. It was a ghost town, though. One trip with no one there, and another where I lucked out and found a group of 5 that had come to try it out. It's a shame to see it go. At least Friendly Fire is nearby. I won't be able to make it out, though. Only two more weekends before I'm done for the year.

I have had mixed experiences at Fox 4, but it's always a bummer to see local fields closed. I would like to make it up to play, but with the travel restrictions from RI it's going to be a game time decision.

Siress Does that mean you have to work two more weekends and you don't have to do that anymore??

Sadly not. I have two more chances to get out this year before my weekends are booked solid out for the foreseeable future.

Wow, my usual go to is Friendly Fire, but they always seemed to be doing well whenever I went by.

Always sad to see a field close up. Some go out with a bang, others but a whisper. My home field closed one weekend a few years ago in the dead of winter due to ice conditions, which was the first time it had ever closed for winter weather in it's history. Sadly it never reopened, that was 2 1/2 years ago now. Still drive by the location and all the field stuff is still there but the owner left to go out west and no idea if the field will ever reopen. I've honestly thought of contacting him and asking him if he minds if we play there, we'll bring our own paint and air and clean up when we're done. That's if i can get in contact with him as he works weird hours but may be worth a try.

I liked Fox4. I used to do the Scenarios there. Dave Painter had to implement a few new rules because of me. I had a "personal best" day there on my 30th year anniversary of playing. I crawled through the swamp and backshot the entire Blue team. I hated it when they went to those stupid hopper covers instead of armbands. Sorry to see it go. Well-run park, good store, fun Scenarios. So-long Fox 4.

It was a great field, and their scenarios 10+ Years ago were amazing, my group had a lot of fun there for several years before we migrated to other fields. Their store and management were second to none, and they handled private games really well, sad to see them go!
