okay if you want to smoke bake potato's sweet same time if smoking ribs

was making ribs today. found thing about smoking bake potato's and sweet potato's it said 2 hrs at 275. it did not happen and sucked now i will start at time ribs go in since some else told that later.

If I remember well last time I did smoked potato's it was 3.5 hours @225F

the site i got off web said 2hrs. but mine where super lager one.

I don't know much about that kind of smoker, but is it possible to put the taters on the lower portion (closer to the heat).
I haven't been taking the time to smoke lately, but that always worked with my offset smoker - placing them right next to the heat source.

well doing ribs did not want dripping on it. or if bbq sauce to fall on it
