You could always ditch the slow cooker and BBQ sauce... Do a bacon wrapped lil smoky sprinkled with brown sugar in the oven instead.

If done right, those brown sugars are awesome. But the slow cooker is just a chaffing dish essentially.

Im also a lover of pigs in a blanket. Essentially go get a tube of Pillsbury croissants and individually wrap each smokey. Then bake them off for a delightful treat.

No slow cooker required though. Haha.

I have a friend we used to call Lil’ Smokie… he got way too messed up one cold winter night and ran around outside with no pants on… he was also called gherkin. That is all, thanks for the memories

BBQ sauce and some grape jelly (sounds gross, but sooo good). Also works well with Swedish meatballs in a crockpot

i think its 1 part grape jelly to 2 parts BBQ.

I’ll third the grape jelly. Suuuuuper tasty. Blew my mind when my wife first told me she uses it.

      Thanks guys

      I'm an old lazy s.o.b.
So therefore anything more than crockpot type cooking is too much, but I will say the lil piggies if offered at a pb game might be enough to don the kilt and grab the phantom and get back out there

I know it was posted but I will throw my .02 in. I am a big fan of half grape jelly (cheap, sweet, 16-20 oz) and half chipotle BBQ (spicy, smoky, 16-20 oz). Takes at least an hour to warm up and combine. You can add a little black or red pepper to taste.
