    Hot Sauce Suggestions & Recommendations

Hey, have you guys tried Truff hot sauce? Seems to have a lot of good reviews on Amazon. I’m looking for some new hot sauces this holiday season.

What are your go-to hot sauces for tacos and wings?

Truff is a bit of a novelty sauce IMO. It’s decent but it can over power, like a lot of truffle infused stuff. I’m a big fan of Karma for general sauces. Rich’s Sweet Heat is a local sauce that is 11/10. I’ll check my cabinet and see if there are any other good recs. Also paging NONOBLITUS

      seconding as a "novelty sauce".
does anything taste like it? no
is that a good thing? meh

have been gifted it alot, not a fan

also be careful with any "good reviews" these days
they are almost always ai or paid for
you have to read through them to be sure
and who was time for that?!

The truff ones were very good, I liked them. This is the ultimate scrambled egg hot sauce in my opinion. everything that’s not eggs gets franks.

It’s not really spicy, just a thin flavorful sauce with a medium kick

    thanks, man.

is it also a bbq sauce? I’m ordering it anyway, but I’m wondering, since it says “bbq” in the Amazon title

      definitely a hot sauce.
would not make a good bbq sauce
      by itself.
your colon, palate and wallet would hate you for it

Yes on Rich’s, get the super heated one if you like zing.

Karma is the brand, they have a lot of good sauces. I’m partial to Cherry Bomb

Have you guys tried Mateo’s Habanero? It’s not that hot, obviously, even the extra hot, (it’s habanero), but it’s really good. It’s great for tacos, especially scrambled egg breakfast tacos / quesadillas. Or as a gourmet chip dip.

Will have to give it a shot! I had an amazing habanero salsa years ago and didn’t get the name — I’ve been searching for it since!

        @herncrek

The only downside with this one: it doesn’t last as long once you open it. It lasts about a week and a half max even if you stir it regularly.

Edit: and of course, even while refrigerated. But IMO, that also speaks to its more natural and organic ingredients, in comparison to ultra processed foods.

Simple and classic, but it's one of my favorites. It's very versatile and goes good on a lot of things.

Ok shameless plug here. We own the Santa Fe Savory Spice, but our stuff is amazing. The sauce line is much smaller than it used to be but these two still kick ass. Well rounded flavor and balanced heat.

Interesting. You guys aren’t selling on Amazon? Send me your webstore link, if you dont mind.

            I tried savoryspice.com and it re-directed me to bulkfoods.com

          Not on Amazon. https://www.savoryspiceshop.com/
The website only supports the corporate side of thing, so if you decide to support us personally, browse the website and email us at santafe@savoryspiceshop.com. And remind us to match the website pricing. We also carry a friend's line of sauces that are awesome too.
          https://philsgourmetsauces.com/hot-sauces-1

I just got some bad news, our sauces are being discontinued, hence the sale prices. I'll hold a couple back in case you want to try em.
