    some more recent ones,
you CAN ask "what's up with all the Mclarens?" and I honestly won't be able to give you an answer.. I just seem to run into a lot of them..
and youll see a few repeating backgrounds, one is my street I still don't have any idea why my neighbor has quarter million dollar cars spend then night semi regularly.. they are enough houses down that I dont normally bump into them.. the cars never have temp-tags.. and they are always different. AND they dont come up in any quick searches of local exotic rental places.. as some of those are rather visually distinct
I have found old sale listing for some of them though..

Temp tags circumvent the registration process lots of people get these cars for investments drive them occasionally. So they run temporary tags because they’re often registered to a corporation so that they don’t have to register them and pay tax on them. I believe they can still write them off as a purchase, rich people collect cars as investments because they’re assets versus having cash in Bank pay massive percentages to inflation. They hide a lot of assets and physical things especially things that people can’t have or want or hard to get.

temp tag also don’t trigger an owner stays one owner but could actually exchange hands a lot. Also Let’s say I signed a contract with Ferrari saying it wouldn’t sell the car for two years otherwise I could be sued. I can buy open ended and issue temp tags on a car when I want to drive it. It’s a loophole while expensive it’s less expensive then paying tax on a Million dollar + car.often they are registered to corporations company car write offs.

I saw this monstrosity a while back, just thought I'd share it with you all. The car itself is nothing special, but that exhaust is surely something.

Gotta love the "wing cars" as they are often called. It's interesting the slight differences between the Plymouth Superbird and the Charger Daytona.

                  Just a few differences:

Dodge Daytona (started life as a Dodge Charger) came out in 1969, Plymouth Superbird (started life as a Plymouth Roadrunner) came out in 1970
All Superbirds had vinyl tops, Daytonas did not.
Wing angle is slighty different between the two (Daytona's Wing is more upright, Superbird's is more slanted and is mounted more forward).
Fender Scoops are real on the Daytona, fake on the Superbird (no opening on fender top).
Nose is more pointed on the Daytona, more rounded on the Superbird.

I saw one of my dream cars today. It was going the opposite direction, getting on interstate (future) I26 over by UNC-Asheville. It was a red Lancia Delta HF Integrale.

It looked just like the one in this picture.

                      And I looked like this...

some recent spots - the red arrow'd ones are an Aptera . . . yes, not actually vaporware, but the 1st one I have seen on the road - and I live and work in the same town they are headquartered in . . . and a Fisker Ocean. The rest are just ones that caught my eye Click image for larger version
