    Automag valve bolt seating

Ok these blasted spacers will not let the bolt sit properly. Both valves I have worked on in the last few days have had these chocked spacers with these plastic washers in place of the powertube O ring behind them then spacers and the powertube cap.

Both spacers have a flat side, one valve had this installed down with an o ring installed like the photo and the other had it installed facing up. Other side is tapered to the center, bolt can not pass through. One valve had a soft tip bolt other has a stock bolt on it. Both spacers are identical and have no numbers on them. What is going on?

That looks like a lvl 7 bolt. Those spacers are for a lvl 10 bolt system

I heard there wasn't a different between lvl 7 and lvl 10 bolts only the spacers. Is this wrong?

Both of the spacers are indeed for lvl 10, whereas your bolt is a lvl 7. As for your other bolt, I would guess that it is a lvl 7 as well. On a lvl 10 bolt, the bottom shown in your photo, will have a thinner stem, which sticks out a bit from the bottom of the bolt. Oh, and yes - there is a most significant difference between both the bolts as well as the spacers of lvl 7 and lvl 10.
Also, both of the spacers are probably marked, although you are correct in that there are no numbers on them. If you look closely, you will probably notice the occasional dot or line milled into the outer side of the spacers. The number of dots and lines depict the size of the spacer.

If you have all the other lvl 7 parts, and are only missing a spacer, you can probably get one from a bunch of guys on the forum. Most Automag enthusiasts have plenty lying around. I would gladly give you a couple, but shipping might be a bit much, since I live in Sweden. Do check up what other parts you have for the valves, if they are lvl 7 parts, lvl 10 parts, or a mix of both. Either compare the parts with an exploded view of the valves/bolt systems, or simply take a photo, post it here, and you'll have plenty of helpful people explaining what every little minute detail is, and what you might be missing.

Thank you good sir. Will have photos soon though I'm pretty sure it just the spacers are wrong.
