    200x?? Spyder Xtra

    Hello

I picked up this in a small trade for shits and giggles and to have something I can hand to a family member or friend.

wondering what year spyder xtra so I can buy the right oring kit off eBay..

hard to find info online but is there anyway to get these to run 300psi? I received a tipmann 98 with a lp kit in the past .

was potentially gonna buy another deadlywind or just the adapter for my dw x8, a new frame etc but figured I might as well pick up a cheap new mech instead

so just looking for the oring kit to get it working and info on low pressure

This is the first generation Spyder Xtra, circa 2002. It shares almost every part with any Xtra made from 2002-06. Most all of the orings are standard 015 size, replace all the valve and hammer orings with black buna ones, give all orings in it a healthy helping of paintball gun oil and she'll work fine.

make sure the rubber detent nubbin is there and in good shape. If you can find a new red rubber one, replace it with that, they're slightly longer and help prevent roll outs with todays smaller paint.

These run at 800 psi stock, and as long as you use a 800 output tank you'll be fine. You can use the standard (800psi) pressure tank with your low pressure 98 without issues.

It takes a lot of modification to get these to run at 300 psi reliably. With a valve change or modification and spring kit you should be able to run this Spyder at 600 psi if you wanted to try. This Spyder does not have a regulator so you will need add one in order to drop the pressure.

It isn't really worth it unless you enjoy tinkering with spyders. They run great stock.

i also recieved 2 view loader genesis that were in much better shape but don’t cycle i believe because of my tank pressure … the orings on the spyder were toast so i haven’t even tried to air it up tho it’s probably for not. oh well… i at least got two viewloader quantums that may be suitable for pump. if not i’m out a hundred bucks

but shooting people out with a spyder seemed fun
