How to make an Autococker quieter

I don’t know if it’s just me, I need to take a look at the lower tube, or I’m just not used to the sound because I’m fairly new to cockers but my 03 Prostock with stock internals is pretty loud. I’ve turned down the Lpr as far as it can go and reliably cock and I’ve gapped the backblock. Any other advice would be great!

Venturi bolts make a slight difference.

What kind of barrel are you using?

I have found that bolts make a big difference. I swear by ANS quickpull venturi bolts, they dampen the sound signature significantly. Also the barrel will make a big difference, in general more porting is quieter.

They also wear out your back blocks, beach and restrict air flow killing your efficiency

Ecapnation that has not been my experience, my velocity went up compared to the stock bolt and I’ve put many cases through my cocker with what I consider minimal wear on my breach and BB

Are you trying to alter the sound from the barrel, or of the action cycling, or both?

I had a pump cocker that was completely silent. You literally couldn't hear it shoot. I am not sure if it was the trigger, LPR. or what. Here is a pic:

Stick feed with an autotrigger… sigh.

        Buy an emek… jk

LP build healthy ported barrels with good paint to bore match.

I have noticed that not all porting is created equal. Ports that are too large (Custom Products) or start too close to the breach (Older Smart Parts) seem to be much louder than, say, an Eigenbarrel.

Oh 100%, I meant more in general terms. In my experience PPS spiral porting has been one of the quieter patterns, J&J too.

For noise signature I find that Low Pressure operation and a longer timing sequence make the most difference. A well timed marker can really drop the signature.

I hate that "quacking" noise that lightly sprung pumps seem to make so my springing preference tends to the heavier side to avoid it. To my ears it's much quieter.

I'm playing around with valving and springs in my Sniper2 right now - currently running a Sheridan valve I shaved down to fit with some heavy-ish springs - and it's pretty quiet, but I'll need to sweetspot it to finalize the setup. It's definitely not LP, though.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Update; using an sp all American freak barrel and a Shocktech metal Venturi bolt, I’ll mess with the timing when I can, what is this about lowering pressure? What internals would you recommend to replace the stock internals?

LP Valves : shocktech or aka
                    Hammers : eclipse or ccm

The diameter of the valve opening and the shape of the Valve chamber affect the sound signature. Find one you like.

Lowest pressure possible and in my experience the barrel can matter somewhat as well. The freak all American spiral pattern does the best Ive tried but I haven't experienced some rarer things like eigenbarrels.

Keep in mind that lower pressure will ruin efficiency generally.

                  Ways to lower pressure;
                  Volumizer
Valve. Shocktech rat, ans, rocket, and morph.
                  AKA lightning bolt
Proper hammer and springs for the valve you pick
