    Palmers Fast Changer Collar Removal

Anybody got any tricks on removing the threaded collar for a Fast Changer in a Sheridan? Bought a brand new Fast Changer and screwed it in, now I need to remove the screwed in collar to work on the gun and this thing won't budge.

I bought a pack of these thick rubber tips for pliers to handle this kind of thing without scratching the heck out of the workpiece

    Something like this

Those are cool! I’m going to grab some of those thanks for the link.

Be sure and leave the knob screwed in when removing the whole changer, that metal is pretty thin and relatively easy to crush.

      ^Ooh, good point

With the pliers I try to use just enough pressure so they don't slip

Those collars break a lot so be careful and try to avoid needing to take it off. I try to use the force of prayer. Half the fasst changers I have ever had, had a nice nasty tool mark on em from the previous owner.
