Wasaga has some of the best woods in Ontario for paintball, in my opinion!

It worked! I bitched about it on here and it just cleared Customs. I swear the CBSA must have someone on staff who plays paintball.

Funny enough, I'm also waiting on customs for some barrels and 98 parts (count is at 19 days).

Hey guys,

I also sent some feedback to Wasaga , regarding that awful spawn camping incident from last year.

Here is the email I sent:

Hi ,

I remembered I had wanted to send your Big Game organizers some feedback from Odder Things II last year, but it slipped my mind

The new Warpath event had me thinking about it again.

Last year , there was a moment in the game where our Red Monsters team got pinned down in our spawn area.

The problem was our spawn point was just a bale of hay up on the access road, by the small building with the 3000 psi fill station, with no protection.

The blue team had pushed up so far, they were shooting directly into the spawn area on the road. There was no protection, they were hitting dead players, refs , and newly spawned players alike. They even got their players into that Castle (castle briar?) . There was nowhere for our team to regroup.

It was such a crazy situation, Wolf even dedicated one of his videos to it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzlzfCGOJrU&t=2s . To me , he sounded embarrassed that his attacking team was being allowed to spawn camp for so long.

I’m not exactly sure how our team got out of the situation, as my gun got so shot up it messed up the trigger , and I had to leave the action to go fix it.

Anyhow, maybe your game organizers have already adjusted rules about team bases , but my idea was, could you make the Team Base / Spawn Point this year the actual Castle Briar itself? And also add a rule where attacking players cannot enter Castle Briar or go past it?

That way if the other team pushes up that far again, players inside the Castle can re-spawn indefinitely , and have a protected position to fight out from. Eventually the attacking team wouldn’t be able to replace dead players fast enough, and the team inside the castle would no longer be trapped.

Fresh players from staging could also backfill into the castle, or regroup behind the castle to make pushes up the field.

If there is a similar building at the other teams spawn point, you could mirror the same rules there.

Other ideas could be: include an Air Strike rule the general can play in this situation to clear out the area, or maybe that yellow smoke grenade mustard gas attack I’ve seen as well.

Anyhow, just some ideas to pass along if you see any value in it.
