Anyone else getting railed by duty?

I don't know if something has changed at the border, or if I've just been incredibly unlucky, but the last 3 packages I've received from the states have come with a massive duty charge.

I'm afraid for my ANS order to arrive...

It's tough because you can burn yourself with insurance that way. I do that pretty often shipping south as well.

When I ship to the USA I always put “return for repairs/ warranty” and I’m honest with the value. I’ve only had one guy have issues of the the hundreds I shipped. Saying that anything I’ve been getting to the USA I asked the seller to put return for repairs and I don’t pay any duties expect for the packages the come from Vegas. Only Vegas I’ve been paying duties

I should use this next time. I have been charged duty for marker I sent south for modification and had to pay on the way back to canada on the full value. Was not worth the time to argue with custom for a long time in order to recoup maybe $50...

Usually I dont get charge duty if the value of the package is lower than $100.

I bought a first strike hpa tank on sale, shipped usps from ANS and i saved a few hundred $ comparable to buying it local. Some orders from AGD i didnt get taxed on. Some markers even with the correct value had no duties … most of what i bought i paid a ridiculous amount for in tax and with the Canadian dollars value. I have some paintball guns and i had none so i try leave it at that.

My shipping to Canada has trouble free. Why, three words.

        "Warranty work completed".
