Big games in Ontario for 2024

I know its early but looking to plan next years big games.

Now that PRZ is closed i was looking at 'The Compound'

They got a paintball event ran by Tier one Armament in July on the 12-14

Anyone know much about the field or anyother big gamea and the rough moth they usually are.

Hi Arco, what town is the Compound located in?

With the loss of Ultimate, the mcb Ontario chapter is looking for a replacement field that is most central to everyone. Ultimate although not perfectly located, kind of fit that bill.

Yeah its near Minden. Closer for the Barrie and Peterborough area guys than anyone else. I would be down to check it put for a walk on in the spring.

Yes, my mistake. There is an airball field in Kirkfield which is not for profit.

Adrenaline Paintball in Melbourne Ontario (just west of London) has 4 big games a year. Typically they do 3 three-sided Global Warfare games (spring, summer, early fall), one is a Castle Conquest game. They also do a Walking Dead themed game at the end of October.

There's talk of changing things up this year, but typically you can count on them having 4 big games per year (June, July, September, October). They're pretty good and the reffing/production value has been getting better every year I've played them (4 years now).

Wasaga also does a 2 day Wayne Dollack style game every August that's always great.

Played Global 1 and 3 this year, had an awesome time. Getting stuck in that hyperball spawn between the woods and village sucks though

I have wanted to check out Adrenaline. I guess this will be the motivation to do it.

Barrie has a field that is partially mounds but they're huge.

Adrenaline is only a couple hours away, a lot closer than I thought.

Wasaga is actually further.

Ultimate pranked us all and got their lease extended. Looks like there might be an OP Snowball 3 afterall.

Locally (= Quebec/Eastern Ontario) we have the perennial Tippmann Challenge at PB Mirabel each August. That's a bit on the expensive side but the organization is always solid and the fields are awesome.

Ditto with D-Day at Commando PB in Ottawa, which is a classic. That one is more affordable also, and typically occurs in June.

Then you have D-Day at Voodoo paintball near Trois-Rivières usually in early September. Not as well known as the other two listed above, but the fields are nice and it's relatively cheap. The organization however could charitably called lacklustre.

Yeah it does suck that PRZ's gone. Not only was it a great field but it was conveniently located midway between Montreal and Toronto, so players from both areas could be attracted.
