Barrie Paintball Walk-on Day

So I've been floating the idea of doing this for a while now, and figured this is as good a time as any.

I was thinking about doing it late November or early December. It would be open class. Post up interest/availability.

I'm going to drop by one of the next few weekends just to check out player turnout, demeanor etc.

It piques interest but... I'm getting pretty allergic to the cold these days, it would definitely depend on the weather.

How cold is too cold? The historical monthly average for November shows a high of 7 and low of -1. The long range forecast is showing above freezing lows out to the middle of November.

what date? I tend to easily overheat at the summer games, so a fall day is not terrible idea for me. But I mean, there are limits of course, -4 Degree Celcius Operation Snowball mfog game a couple years ago was pretty chilly, I have to be really motivated for something like that again!

Ok, I'm going to throw November 23rd out as the date for this. Not set in stone so if there's a weekend that works better for more people that's fine.

I'd guess temperature for game day would be between 10 and 0. The long range forecast shows daily lows above freezing out until the middle of November so far.

Sounds like a plan. I'm going to drop by next weekend and see what the state of the field/players is like. I last played there 4 years ago and last dropped in a year ago.

The weather for the 23rd seems to be bouncing between rainy, just overcast and sunny. The temperature is steady around 5.

Is there a date by which everyone needs a yes/no on the 23rd? And would the 30th be a good reschedule date if need be?

I dropped by the field for a few minutes yesterday. I was told there were 12 or 14 players there; 8 of which were from a birthday party.

The weather is looking a bit better, but still not great (although it still might clear up). The temperature is still looking like 5°. I'm kinda kicking myself for not planning it for the 16th at a balmy 10°.

You guys from the GTA can make up your minds as to whether or not it would be worth coming up based on that player count and the weather. If any of you want to go just say the word. It's a quick enough drive for me.

I'm starting to get pretty busy this weekend, so if anyone is going to show I can pop out for a couple hours, but not all day.

The forecast is getting better all the time. Still forecasting rain for the morning but the amount and percentage keep going down.
