Testing a new Action Cam setup, On Gun

Testing out a new Action Cam setup (DJI Action) mounted to the marker. Those are Fotodiox aluminum extension arms.

Also, tweaked the timing on my 2k4 half block and it's shooting very well now.

I'm not a huge fan of the sound signature when the DJI is gun mounted, but I guess it is what it is!

Sounds like you’re picking up a significant amount of hopper noise. Wonder if you can silence the microphone a bit?

Neoprene cover help it any, if that's an option. For the hopper...?

My DJI action has two onboard mics. I did drill holes in the waterproof case over top of the mic ports, but that is the best I think it gets when the camera is on a noisy reciprocating gun like an autococker, and with og noisy Revvy.

The sound pickup on this camera is obviously better when mask mounted, but I think I am done with the tradeoffs of mask mounted cam , ie. No Fan, and no Visor, and the extra Weight.

I got pretty frustrated last time out, as my JT was fogging like crazy, and I was really missing my mask fan ..... and I do see better with a Visor on my masks..

Maybe some foam or something to cover the back of the microphone? Last time I recorded a paintball game was over 10 years ago.
