MCB Ontario call out - Adrenaline Paintball, Global I - Jun 8

They describe: "First conceived by Scuba Steve Holts in 2007. The Medic rules, multiple teams format and flag stations were set in place to solve many of the problems the guys were having at the super big games like Flagswipe Paintball’s Day of the Dead and Wasaga’s annual big game."

For those who have played Global , is this a true statement? Does the 3 team format fix the "Wasaga Problem" , which is two giant teams meet in the middle, and neither team can advance creating a somewhat boring stalemate?

i'm open to carpool, and drive, if carpoolers can help with the gas.

I’ve played a bunch of Global games over the last few years - don’t have much other big game experience to compare. They’re fun, 3 teams, game is split to 3 “periods” where you swap spawn points and scores are kept separately.

Most teams that get the “Hyperball spawn” point seems to get trapped in that area.

Players seem to avoid the woods and you end up with a few different battle points - out of the woods, into the trenches and attacking the castle, then another between the village and hyperball area. Didn’t see too much action between the village and castle, or in the Mounds area.

There are plenty of objectives to grab and bring back to base to get points and cash for your general, smart generals will use the cash for perks - early knowledge of the next mission, Truck or Helicopter troop drops, or hiring the “mercenaries”

last year, green team was STACKED with players and dominated every event. I always played Red and had fun

realized my readiness to play (getting equipment ready, and biggame mindset ready) is not quite ready

Looks like a light turnout anyway

plus its one of the really far fields.

so i'm out for this one, but I will get my act together and to ordering some stuff I need to play this season.

Should we re think in a 2-3 weeks and just do a no theme, low expectations MCB meetup at Combat Pursuit ? Maybe we will get more turnout?

Just ordered some stuff, minimal to get me back up and playing this year......ie. new lens , new gloves, macroline, etc

i'll be more ready for the next call out to play

I have like 80 feet of macroline and 100 feet of Cocker lp hose if you need some in the future.

Can only swing the living legends game this year. Life’s become very expensive and busy over the years sadly.

Well... the drive's not bad and the field facilities were really nice (4.5k fills for once, pretty organized). Paint was fresh and round but tiny, I had rollouts with a .675 and actually cracked out the .670 insert for the lever action.

The stagnant meet-in-the-middle thing still happened. Team numbers were lopsided and heavily skewed towards Green. If you have an electro and/or like shooting lots of paint, it was a good day for that.

I don't know that I'll go for the other games in the series, but I know what to expect now at least... Legends should be good, I'll just have to gear up accordingly.

No idea... there was some sort of castle-y base that was an objective but Red never got into it.

if you had the new lever action, they would have just let you waltz in and take it !

Meleager7 The Castle is usually the focus of the 2nd Global game of the year, “Castle Conquest” - all 3 teams take a period of defending the castle, and the whole day is attack/defend the castle. I have never played that version of global

Not sure how the 3 teams works out with that, there are probably a bunch of missions/objectives to draw teams outside of the castle and to different areas.
