      Bangarang - If I had a dime every time I heard that…

Also, my freakin’ dog chewed up two of the cartridges, so I gotta figure out if I even have the components to use it. >

Stocktoberfest After Action Report (for those not in attendance)...

With a forecast of rain threatening to sour the entire weekend, I was anticipating a much lower than average attendance. But this is New England, so any weather predictions are utterly meaningless. Thankfully, the other local players understand this fact and we ended up setting a new record for Saturday attendance. In total, we had 79 players over the course of the weekend with 66 players on Saturday and 68 on Sunday. This doesn't include the paintball retirees that just came to hang out and socialize.

The Freedom Feast on Friday night was a big hit and I've been told the food was awesome. Some unfortunate intestinal issues precluded my participation, but I did show up later in the evening to hang out and enjoy the live music, drinks and camaraderie.

Wild West Saturday got off to a great start with the biggest crowd we've seen to date. Lots of brass single shot pistols, holsters and western hats were on display throughout the day. As always, the action on the fields was fierce yet friendly. Seeing over 60 players battling it out on the hyperball field was an experience. The quick draw competition is always a crowd pleaser, and this event was no exception. Congrats to Jesse for taking home the Fastest Gun award! After lunch, we played as many games as possible before some light rain started to fall. Thankfully, the heavy stuff held off until after 4PM.

The little bit of passing rain on Saturday night couldn't dampen the spirits of anyone in attendance. By the time the fire pit was glowing red hot, the rain had ended, and folks were enjoying themselves with musical interludes and war stories from games gone by. While no one opted to play laser tag, the shenanigans at Snack Shot for the Stock Class 10PM Toast® were quite whimsical. Malort is no one's friend!

The main event on Sunday got off to a rough start. The second game of the day was cut short when our friend Dan, a.k.a. "Pump&Run" tripped while pumping and running, which resulted in a broken leg. Fortunately, he is fine and recovering. All of the staff at Adventure Games handled the emergency like the total pros that they are. After a brief delay, the games continued and the stock class action heated up. By the end of the day, players were exhausted but still smiling at the sheer fun they had over the entire weekend!

A huge thank you to Aric, Alex, Jeffery Jared, and all of the staff at Adventure Games and Snack Shot for hosting us. Our refs Colby and Mike were great, as was "Cheffery's" team in the Snack Shot kitchen. Thanks to "Atom Jay" for creating yet another batch of Stock Class Bounty Hunter medallions for this event! Thanks to Jesse for running the Wild West quick draw competition. Thanks to Metadyne Industries for sending us their new Phoenix prototype and Jonny for offering to beta test it. Thanks to Colby and the crew of Handmade Paintball for making the long drive up and setting up their vendor booth. Thanks to Brian L. and the others for getting Dan to the hospital and your support in assisting him. As always, thanks to Derek B. for flying up from Florida just to attend this event, and Alexander for driving down from Canada (and thanks again for the super fresh squeaky Canadian cheese curds!). And a huge thanks to all the players who attend these events! Your support is what makes them great!

See you all at the next event!
