I prefer the headband / headwrap combo. The masks got smaller, so my forehead tended to stick out. It also keeps the paint out of my hair.

I don't care of the headband only, but I suppose that would at least cover the top of your forehead so you don't get beaned right there.

Ok it makes sense. kinda two things going on. the pure functionality is a no brainer for most and personality is fun.

then the whole cultural exclusivity thing being its own separate beast with dynasty personalities becoming the standard of cool/trendsetter and hip marketing

        Thanks for the explanation y'all

There are a ton of smaller companies out there making great quality fun headbands and wraps for much cheaper. Handmade Paintball make some great stuff and their prices/quality are a much better bang for your buck.

They are officially licensed by Sandana now to. They get all the super cool patterns and are really well made. Hope he has some of those black and red ones left in the Fall.

Yep, and before Hormesis, Bunkerking was the "it" headband in the late 90's to the mid 2000's. Also founded and popularized by pro players, members of Ground Zero / NYX / Joy Division: Alex and Max Lundqvist, Will Arroyo, etc.

I think headbands are synonymous with PB since the very beginning.

I can attest to the quality of colby’s work in quite a few dump pouches. Worth every penny and a super nice guy.

I was always more of a backwards cap guy, but fitted caps started to get expensive (since you can't get the ones with a hole). Headbands just always seemed annoying.

I do still have my old Dye one and a Christ Krew one I think. Haven't worn either in a decade.

As someone said, there are more practical options like old fashioned sweatbands.

At one stage I think Empire made a padded cap designed for paintball. But it had too much padding = too hot.

I believe your Christ Krew one might fall into the expensive collectible category now.

I finally hit order on an old school tiger stripe “bounce cap” headband from Evil Gerbil paintball that I’ve been eyeing for months. Has that goofy neoprene bill that everyone wore with a half mask. Very excited for some late 90’s steez. Maybe that’s what you’re remembering vijil . Still kicking myself for not getting in on his run of OG tiger pullovers.

Ayyyy, I found something that's still in stock and it what I'm after (if I still ever played...) https://ansgear.com/exalt-padded-bounce-hat-olive/

Could put three or four headbands over top for extra swag and drip and agg, and um, steez

Since Handmade is being referenced in here. When is he going to get a website or something? I've been a potential customer for a dump pouch for two years now, but I deleted my Cuckface account. I don't want to order a custom one. Id just buy one of the ones he already has made, but there is literally no sale point to do so without being on Facebook or being at an event he is posted up at..

I get facebook gets the most concentrated customer base, but he needs a website also.. or he needs to actively add inventory to a dealers thread here to get the market he's missing out on.

All in all, I wanna support the guy, but I'm not going to put in that much effort to do it.

Dang, this is basically the hat I used to wear in high school. I just turned it backwards, flipped the "brim" down, clipped off the silly adjustment string (it fit my noggin just fine without it) and BOOM! Comfiest hat ever! I wore that thing until it died.

Now that I know they're still available I might have to pick myself up one again.

Eric makes sick Bounce caps I have a few of those. His newest brim design is better than the older style ones.

I might have to look into his work.

ETA: I never wore this cap for its intended purpose. I just legit thought it was the comfiest hat ever. Even when I played paintball with it on, I turned it backwards and didn't use the "bounce" brim for what it was for, lol. Probably should have.

Im huge on wearing a hat backwards all the way up until I had borrowed a headband after leaving my hat at home. I gotta say that not capturing the heat under a hat and making the sweat drip in my eyes has been a huge increase in comfort.
