Weather looks like almost 60 for the highs and lows near freezing. I signed up for the Navy.

I don't get it. A WWII Midway paintball scenario in the middle of Kansas?

I guess I don't understand these theme scenario games. What is the draw for them? I can understand a big paintball game... but Midway?

What are you proposing for a theme then? I mean come on...the Wizard of Oz can only be done so many times. D Day is played in Oklahoma. Clear and Present Danger has been on in Oklahoma. Apocalypse Now has been done by Lawrence KS. Monty Python and the Holy Grail has been done at Houston.

Exactly my thoughts. There was no ground battle during the battle of Midway. So will the player pretend to be airplanes, destroyers and carriers? There are just gazillion battles from WWII that can be the source of inspiration. And many of them from Pacific (Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Philippines and many others). Why to choose a battle between carriers as a paintball game theme?

Why don't you come and find? Who knows...maybe you'll enjoy playing the game?

On a positive note: Everything I have heard about the field and owners is positive. Joey was (?is?) a sponsor of the KSU Paintball club. Heck, a couple of my B2K's are from his shop. He seems like a standup guy. If he remembers me at all its probably as the older guy who likes ICD. But, I do have his phone number in my cell phone.

I am not trying to hijack your thread, but since you asked... I would make it a land based concept. I am a non-LARPer and just can't get into pretending to be a bomber formation searching the ocean for a carrier task formation. I don't understand how it translates into a paintball game. But, what the heck do I know. The biggest game I ever went to was just "The Big Game." Not real catchy, but for its time and place there were quite a few folks in attendance. (It was back when VM68's and ProLites were the field rentals of choice.)

If you want some thing Kansas or Prairie themed how about Quantrails Raiders sacking Lawrence. Perhaps Cowboys vs Sod Busters? Maybe US Marshalls vs the Outlaw gangs? US Calvary vs Indigenous Peoples?

If you want WWII, how about Battle of the Bulge? Siege of Stalingrad? If you want to stay D-Day centered, how about Normandy Breakout? North Africa?

Do you know if they plastered posters at Fort Riley or McConnell?
