    MQ2 Mid-Block

Had the MQ2 in the bin and decided to do the logical thing, why not spend a bunch of money and build a cocker around it. Inception Pneumatics and bolt and a Zero-B board. Few more tweaks and she is ready to go on the wall and probably never get used.

It is a little light for my taste, but having the MQ2 and the short delrin bolt, there is no kick so it is ok

I still really want to do it and I have the stroker body cleaned and prepped but the work, kid, life balance is absolutely killing my project time right now. This took me about 20 minutes of ebay time and about an hour to assemble so that was an appealing way to give the mind a quick jolt of cocker building diversion.

All that being said, I did just purchase a new lathe and am tracking to have some free time in February.

I love that build! Is that one of the acockparts teeny tiny front blocks? I thought those looked cool, I think this is the first one I've seen actually used.

I believe it is but I can't say 100% since it came with the body. One thing I can say is that is it a little too tight. It is nearly impossible to assemble and the ram actually hits the reg unless all the flats are set just right. Also, the eblade only fits in that orientation.

I used one on this System X Dragon I built and sold a year or so ago.

So I took this to the field over the weekend and she shot great until the rate of fire got really high then I had massive shoot down. It was almost as if the shoot down happened right at a certain speed threshold and not gradually with an increase in bps so I am thinking this is a timing issue and not an air supply issue but I figured I would ask the experts.

I have not checked any of the board timing settings yet but some reading seems to indicate maybe an increase in COFF is required or the possibly the bolt isn't closed all the way before firing. COFF is easy to change and I suppose a QEV would solve the other problem.

              What say you?

Up the coff. Since there isn’t a hammer to help pull the bolt forward mq’s tend to need more coff. Could also be low lpr pressure.

Welcome to MCB Mr dirt. Good call, LPR pressure is also on the list of things to check. There is currently no recoil so I have some room to increase it some.

It’s very tempting to lower the lpr till the bolt cycles and you can pinch paint and have zero kick, but you end up with shoot down. I usually lower mine if I use psp 10.4 then have to crank it up for uncapped semi.
