    Azodin Blitz 4

So i've been tinkering with the idea of getting one of those shiny, double triggered, electronic, newfangled paintball guns. I've noticed most speedball style guns now are like 300 to 500. Tons of people prefer mini gs, etha 3, dye rize, and a few others. For me, i'm kinda looking at going cheap electro, less than 300, good higher end speedball gun trigger feel, company that isnt out of business, and just something plain old newer.

I've owned a smart parts ion, and a dangerous power fusion f8, a spyder and one or two other stacked blowback variants, all circa 05- 08'. I've always owned a tippmann. A5, 98, model 98, pro carbine, a double trouble ( that was a f**ng awesome monster), and even a pistol or two. I currently have a completely tooled out egrip a5 (my avatar), and an umarex t4e hdx pump shotgun. Why? Because shotguns are badass. Lol

I've debated back and forth about getting back into a dangerous power marker, spyder electra acs with the rocking trigger, an ion, and a few other shiny boi's. Some of the hangups i keep coming back to are that they're all like 15 years old, their parent companies are gone, all their parts and upgrades are discontinued. Not to forget my experience of working on guns for maintenance is tippmann. I dont know much about how to adjust a regulator, fix electronics, etc. A spool valve might be simple to some, but for me it may as well have tiny elves in it with blow guns for all i know.

I've heard about azodin as pumps for years, and done some review videos, and the blitz 4 seems to be pretty good fit for a budgety backup/loaner/enjoyable speedball change of pace. I enjoy spraying some paint, and i dont expect the feel of a luxe that talks to me when i turn it on. However i have not seen a whole lot about them on youtube and such.

To me it says well kept secret, or just a somewhat fanceir lowgrade like the old stacked blowbacks from the old days. So i ask you guys, do you have a blitz and like it, or do you wish you had gone with something else? Are they an overly touted beginner marker? Do they fire smoothly? Etc etc.

If you like the way a blowback shoots, go for it. But it's not really a speedball type market. Sure it will ramp and all that but it's a rough shot. I have an original Blitz that is a loaner. I've used it for a few days and it's fine. But if you want to dump a lot of paint, it's tiring. I've used it in speedball games, it's not that enjoyable. And it tends to break more paint than my other markers.

If you have to buy new, the mini gs is a much better gun. Or just get a used Etha 2.

I don't know much about the electros either, except that I see kids with cheap ones trying to fix them instead of playing.
I would stick to a used mini or axe for the same money, they seem to do OK.
The internet killed all the well kept secrets.

It also seems to me like there are way less options nowadays dor the lower end speedball market than there were in the early to late 2000's. Granted the 08 crash did more damage than covid to the industry, but when things like the ion were floating around it was a lot cheaper and easier to get a good speedy gun. Now it seems like 300 to 500 is the bar.

The 2008 dollar bought 44% more than the 2024 dollar. The $200 Ion is now the $300 mini.

Hmmm.. i guess that's where the "times have changed" kicks in. Fair point. But still feels like we had way more options other than etha/emek, czr, mini.

We did have more options, it was a ROF war across all the price points, and most manufacturers got in on it with their version of a skinned cat.
They had to compete against E frames on tricked out cockers, mags, and spyders as well as the ground up electro guns.
            Those were cool times.

If you can find one used for around $60 I'd say go for it. Most of the times I see these go down its because it broke paint getting the eyes dirty--> blender--> won't cycle because its too dirty. As long as you know that after you get a break that the eyes need to be checked/cleaned and then to run a swab through the top tube you should be fine.

My blitz evo is my goto for an electronic marker.i like the shot and sound. even used it at practice last night. Granted mine has the same low pressure upgrade as the zenith and i have the editor to change my firing mode settings.

I do think the blitz 4 is the best electric blowback you can buy new currently. Personally i would rather buy and fix a used blitz evo , zenith or z2. Since they are either lower pressure or have some upgrades at a lower price
