Okay Gentleman y'all haven't let me down this far so I'm back for more help. Someone here has got to have the knowledge I seek. I refuse to have wall hangers, I want to keep this thing playable for another decade if at all possible, even if costs as much as just buying something brand new.
I've got an 06 dark ego, I've had it since 2009 really slowed down/stopped playing in 2013. It hasn't failed me yet but I know it's inevitable, I've read the write-up about shoehorning a solonoid into an 07/08.
I know the 07/08 differ quite a bit from the 05/06, so I'm not exactly sure that the info provided there although wonderful will work for my situation.
I've squirreled away several odds and ends over the years however I never grabbed a solonoid and some QEVs and diaphragms/reg seats would be very helpful
Has anyone found a work around/source for when the solonoid fails?
What about QEV replacements? I have 1 extra on had.
Short of scouring ebay what are my options if any?
Are there any part hoarders here that would bestow kindness upon me in exchange for many of my hard earned dollars?
