I absolutely loved this writeup. Knowledge like this is lost these days. I have my dads old B2K and I plan to do a complete overhaul now!Comment

Figured I'd just straight up steal this info from PBN so all the helpful stuff is in the same place. Also I hate going there.

Great build and write up. I just found my old Defiant from when I first started playing and I am planning to restore it. This will definitely be helpful in the process. Love the idea of putting the Chaos board, which I was already planning to switch to, into the battery tray and the battery in the grip. Having to break the thing down just to change to battery was always a pain. Did you secure the board with anything in the battery tray to keep. It from getting damaged. Figured for the battery I could just use some Velcro but would like to secure the board as well. Definitely need to figure something out for the feedneck as well.

Finally got the ram apart with a heat gun. Everything actually looked to be in good shape other than the spring. Replaced all the orings and greased everything. The spring had been clipped so short I doubt it was even doing much which explains a lot of the little issues I had with this marker. I got it used and only played with it a short time before upgrading so now I am getting to find all the shotty work that was done to it prior to me getting it. It was also completely missing the spring guide. Luckily I reached out to ICD and Gary was able to get a couple springs and guides headed my way. Great guy to deal with. Chaos board and harness should be here in the morning and hopefully this thing will be back up and running soon. Then going to send it off to Bearded Works for the feedneck milling and bolt ramping/oring groves. She should be finished up and good as, if not better than, new here soon. Thanks again for all the help. MyrkulLast edited by RShockley; 12-04-2025, 08:11 PM.

*Update*
Now that the competition is long over, I did end up swapping out a few parts on this that I was initially prevented from using due to budget constraints of the build off. Most noticeably, I added the Zenitram 15 Vert ASA and the Shorty Dye Barrel.

The gun is running perfectly, and saw a fair amount of use this weekend at the Bob White Big game.
Here is a nice action shot of Mkeeks who used it for a few games.

And finally, here is a short game play video of me using it now that I finally got a decent mask camera.
