Just a test comment here to see if the sub forum updates on the main page.

Wow, totally forgot about Otter PB. I used to live on that site.

Red board (if your internals will handle it) will hit 21. The blueboard is dialed back to 18.

Nice EM1, I also have one, still shoots nicely.
The Spyder reg is ok. For the semi-auto fire rate with the stock trigger it'll work just fine. It uses a shim stack and a screw to regulate the air with just a couple of o-rings. If you find velocity sticky a quick rebuild and some oil is all you need.

Don't adjust the front LPR, it is set at the correct rating ~90psi. If you do need to mess with it, use a large, prefferably rubber coated flat head screwdriver. The metal of the LPR will bend very easily and it is torqued on tight.

I've experimented with oil and PE grease, and found a tiny bit of grease on the internal ram o-rings works great, and a smidge of oil on the bolt makes it shoot nicely.

    Enjoy!

There are some EMI1 related articles on the old Otter PB site: http://web.archive.org/web/200802151...pyder.html#em1

Check the board. If it's the blue board, it's the Java Ed. The only other thing is the barrel. You've got the OTP barrel and the standard versions only had some loud ass solid barrel. (No porting, I've got that barrel...) That drop is aftermarket. Other indicator is that you've got the fixed battery door. It's metal, has a screw to anchor it so you don't lose it immediately. Which is why I made a 3d printable model for mine.

Pretty slick looking Emmy. I can't help you much. This is the only Spyder model I've not owned.

    Info on am EM1

In my never ending quest to own one of everything at some point i recently picked up an EM1 (wanted one of these for a while). Anyway from doing some google research it appears some refer to this one as a "Java Edition" but i dont see much difference. So a few EM1 questions.

Is it simply the barrel/drop that make it a Java or anything else?

Any quirks or issues to know about with these?

Is that ASA type reg reliable or is it better to swap it out for a traditional HPR?
