    Painthappys Stock build....

Received a rough cut blank stock from the big boss and am shaping it to form...
It will be a lever action made by BrettG and a kp style body by palmers...
I have one coat of mineral spirit/ boiled linseed combo on it seal her up so far...

Hope you like what you see so far... the wood is absolutely incredible, the clear sections kinda glow in the half lit sky we have right now..

Wondering if you would like some brass inlay on her as it's close to that point..

              Finally got this stock completed...
Added a brass butt plate at the rear, under the hand grip and one at the fore end...
Put the rifle together (parts in a bag) but forgot the install the dang body mounting nut).
reworked the linkage to bolt setup..
              shes close....

wish we had some sun but these pictures will, have to do...
              Hoping you like her..

So different. I Like it. Especially that brass plate at the front of the stock. Looks great there.

What does the inner machinations of this lever action look like in the portion under the stock? I've been debating picking up a tiger shark for a lever build next winter, and having a notion of how this builds pulled off would be a great help.

Took awhile but found some pics. This is pictures from the original inception. In typical fashion back then BretG would have the client send the body to Palmer's for the clean up and tune. Then have it shipped directly to himself for the lever conversion. This particular build, KL-17 was then sent to an individual who fitted a tank in the stock before been presented to Painthappy. I don't remember full details. I wasn't as involved in building at that time and I've been through quite a few of brain cells since then. Good job Walz.
