I would vote for horizontal feed to keep a lower profile and not hide the beautiful rail you made.

For the body color, I think lighter color would help complement the wood grain of the stock more. Gold vein would be my pick. But I think it would look good with any color.

The owner of this build will be a lucky person.

I'm always a sucker for a good polish, but that hammered metal look you did on Riots pirate would be my second pick.

I love the top rail, it really tops it off.

Ok, I went ahead and gave her a side tube job. Elevated the side tube a tad for easy feeding.
Completed all the hot work and let me tell you that was a loo-loo to do...

decieded everyone was right about giving giving her a lighter color to show off the site rail but I'm out of anything silver/ black..
Just ordered more powder so can give her a silver vein look.

BUT... I did try out this gold vein I had on a practice body...
What do you all think of this color....

I took everyone's thoughts and did the deed...
And It came out flipping bad to the bone.
I really this color choice, it's bright and says hello dolly in the bright light and really subdued in the shadows...
Perfect color for a old school pirate...
i even did the buckles, swivels, the tank bracket and the ever so cool full length stock adapter..

Wowzers! The left side feed really ties the entire build together. Looks absolutely amazing!

Beautiful. With the rib and stock, the thing looks “skeletonized”, and the color enhances it. Nice work.
