PGP chronology

Hi everyone. I am working on putting together a PGP chronology people can use for understanding the age and possible modifications done to their PGPs.

I have already put together a rough timeline, but I am stuck on a few things.

1) What year did the PGPs first start getting produced with the ribbed aluminum handle instead of the knurled aluminum handle?

2) What year did the PGPs change from Brown grips to black?

Don't forget about the post pg PGP with the bearing for bolt retention located in the pump

I haven’t incorporated that change yet. Focused on the major things primarily. But do you know when That change was made?

Nope... Chasing dates is going to be difficult. It wasn't like it is today with model years.

It is my understanding that the switch to bolt detents happened at the same time as the switch to “PGP” and that the pump detents were before 1985. Is that correct?
