So I miss my shoebox

About 14 years ago I had a blue to light blue shoebox with an OTB frame on it. I loved the looks of it but almost never played electro back then. Used it in one game and the side power switch annoyed me so I sold it. My late buddy Target told me he saw it come up for sale again years later minus to OTB frame.

I rarely get to play anymore, and lately I've been nostalgic and have the bug for another shoebox.

I honestly do not remember, are the center feed necks press fit or threaded?

Are the shoebox shocker barrel threads the same as the later shockers?

The feed neck depends on the model. The original Vsport was pressed for but the 2002 models were threaded and likely the Eclipse version.

The barrel threads are the same as SFT but not the NXT Shocker. That switched to Impulse threads.

Yes that Target and that's the old me as well.

If I remember right Target passed a two years ago. A few squirrels got a chance to see him before he passed, but having my first child has completely messed up my concept of time over the last three years so I can't remember the exact year. I know masking was still mostly a thing in NY at the time.

Thanks for the offers guys and I have considered grabbing a basic black on and just scratching the itch. But when shoeboxshocker99 posted up his wall of shockers last year, I've been wanting one of his purple splash ones.

Ended up snagging a single trigger, plain black shoebox. I wanted something with a crazy anno but right now money is tight so the anno had to be sacrificed. Should be here friday and I ended up ordering a lapco autospirit as a backup in case my freak XL insert doesn't get here in time. (The first one I ordered showed up as a standard freak length... poop). I have a game in two weeks and I'm hoping to get it up and running by then.

Next I think I want to find an egg to put on the top to really make this look oddball. I was shocked that I could actually find mostly minty ones still in existence.
