    Shocker SFT upgrade questions

    Hey all,

Just starting to get into paintball again, and I'm getting my old Shocker SFT up and running. My questions are all related to the bolt tube setup.

I currently got an Eigenbolt, NDZ can, and stock guide. Mostly I'm interested in efficiency. My tank is small, both because I'm trying to keep it light and also because I mostly play pump.

    1. Do the NDZ can and Nummech guide (if I get one in the future) reduce the efficiency? And if so, then what's the point of reducing the operating pressure?

    2. If efficiency is my goal, would a HE can be a better choice?

    3. Are questions better asked in groups of 3?

    Thanks!

Check out zdspb.com. It was a wealth of knowledge when I owned my SFT. Good luck.

I love that site, but there's 2 problems with it. The info is sometimes very disorganized and hard to find, and he sometimes assumes a level of knowledge that I dont have.

Does your setup work with Eigenbolt and NDZ can? It's been years, but I remember the Eigenbolt being touchy about cans and most people using a stock SFT can with that bolt.

I haven't tried it yet, as my bolt guide got stripped and I'm waiting for the new one to get in.

He categorizes the Eigenbolt in the HE can compatible section.

Good call. I thought it was a compatibility issue, but a quick search shows the SFT stock can just offers a slightly better efficiency. Reference:

In response to the original questions, you do not need an HE can. If you put you parts together and they work well, stick with that. If they don't, shoot me a pm. I'm pretty sure I have some stock bolt components in my parts bin.

Thanks! I also have a HE can and bolt, so I have a few ways to try it when the guide gets in.
