    Reviving a Punishers Ion

Well I've got this Ion that's leaking down the breech. My generic o-rings aren't doing the trick so I've got a rebuild kit on the way with the right sizes. Let's see if that does it

If it is leaking down the breach, it is either the rear breech 017 oring or the 014 oring on the inside of the bolt stop.

I have had trouble recently from 014 orings leaking, and a solution I have found is to fill the groove with Molykote 55 install the oring, cover the oring with more Molykote 55, and let it sit overnight. The oring will soften/swell and close up leaks.

So, I got the o-rings in and reassembled....still blowing air down the breech 😑

    I re-read the troubleshooting guide https://www.zdspb.com/tech/mguide/io...neumatics.html
    • Replaced every o-ring with the correct sizes
    • Verify that the tip of the bolt and the middle section of the bolt are both unscratched.
      • Nothing too bad from what I can see
    • Verify that pressure is indeed moving through the solenoid while the marker is idle.
      • When I pressurize the marker, air is blowing out the middle banjo...so my solenoid or board may be damaged?
I took the solenoid apart and didn't see anything too telling...it's also a virtue board if anyone knows anything further I could troubleshoot ?
I've got a stock board I'll put in to see if I can confirm its the board/solenoid and not just poorly fit o-rings...

I've also used up all my air so I gotta hit the field and get them refilled!

Did you replace the 1.5x3mm orings on the banjo bolts?

Try replacing the middle fitting. You have a 360 QEV, and if the diaphragm goes bad, it could vent air continuously.

Replace the hose/tubing. After 20ish years, the tubing may fail under pressure.
