    Paintball and Beer&πŸ”₯

Some fields i play at have a liquor license, some are cool with you bringing a case and a cooler for you and your buddies. Some field owners even are cool with marijuana now. (One field i drink&smoke with the refs and owners throughout the day).

Anyway had my first ever confiscation of a few cans of high life at a field i regularly play at like 2 months ago (i got it back and we all friends always, they didn't even drink any of it ). Knew it all had to do with field insurance and the fact the owner just thinks the two should never mix (cause fights or falls etc)

Whats your take on adults consumption at the field, and more specifically, actually playing under the influence? Me im very simple with it. Moderation (duh), and dont act like a jackass on whatever your taking. Stay safe everyone

I’m personally fine with it. I think I even saw people drinking at the staging area in a lot of the Iron city classic videos I’ve seen. Even the Professionally put together videos. IMO it’s no more dangerous than playing beer league softball.

Save it for after the the game. That is in everyone’s best interest.

Oh it always is. And it's really easy to get to get sick. Anything other than gatorade and water and you really start to feel like shit running around like i do.

        STAY HYDRATED PEOPLE

Far to many people have a problem with that Moderation word.

I don't want to have to worry about how sober people are when I'm playing. Seems lots of sober people can't keep their masks on on the field or keep their fingers off the trigger in the staging area.

I would agree with saving it for afterwards - I may have one hanging out at end of day. But I think allowing drinking between games could lead to safety issues. Forgetting barrel bags or shooting your friend in the staging area are things that don't happen in softball.

When playing outlaw, I've had a beer between games but that was a much smaller group with family and we were mostly hanging out. I would be concerned if a bunch of people were drinking during rec play with 80 people at the field.

I often like to take the edge off early in my day of play. Mix a whiskey/coke in my tinted hydration bottle. My "home" field allows open consumption of beers, but I have mixed feelings about that TBH, even though I've never witnessed it getting out of control there.
Long story short, I'm with the "mixes well in moderation" crowd.

One of my favorite activities lately has been building shooting course with steel targets on my twin brothers property. We spend afternoons plinking steal while drinking and smoking the devils harvest. Its a good time.

For regular play, I don't mix any alcohol, seems dangerous and besides, alcohol kind of makes me feel like shit. I do on occasion take a few tokes before hitting the field, get my head straight.

Yeah its really not a great idea to drink and run around like a loon doing play war.

And tolerance aside, hitting a bowl or bat real quick ain't gonna do nothing horrible.

EMR allowed beers at the camp sites and maybe there’s some no drinking during the day rule on the books somewhere, but I don’t know about it and it’s not strictly enforced. However, Viper Productions decided to host the most convoluted game of paintball ever designed. They added their own rules, including no drinking after 2am on Friday or before game ends on Saturday. Now, as I’m sure many of you remember, some of the best EMR times are hanging with friends drinking beers before and after the game. (And during, for some of us)... so I took it upon myself to make 100 koozies with my team logo on one side and the other side read, β€œbest if used during game play.” I passed them out to everyone.

Personally, my feeling on drinking at the field are simply to respect the field rules. If they don’t want me to drink there, I won’t. If they don’t mind, I will. As far as other players are concerned, they can all get fucked. It’s none of their business. Stay home if the field allows it. Also, field rules trump some guy in his basement writing up paintball game scenarios in his spare time. In fairness to Viper though, he was a good sport about the koozies and just trying to cover his own ass, I understand that, we weren’t blatant about it.
Dont take my man riots sauce. XD

Unfortunately not all rules may pertain to you, but you got to follow them anyway. Some momos cant handle, so everyone cant drink now. its not even that bad, just annoying.

Its like a no running rule back in school or at the pool. Some idiot fell, got hurt, so now i cant run cause some chode cant handle putting one foot infront of the other.

As a fan of a fresh produce, being awake on a day off usually means I got a little something in me, but I try not to go overboard. I generally avoid drinking if I'm going to be playing at a walk-on, pay-to-play place. Outlaw is outlaw and we are outlaws. Certain biyearly gathers mean camping and drinking and sometimes there's a wee bit of spillover.

Know your limits, know your company, don't be a dip shit. Otherwise have fun!

On one hand I don’t care what other people do so long as they aren’t jeopardizing the safety of others.

On the other hand, I don’t understand folks that refuse to have fun without smoking or drinking.

Whatever the field owners says goes, in my opinion. If it's up to me, let people engage in any manner of debauchery as long as they are courteous, and keep everything discernible by kids strictly PG rated - no alcohol labels, no pot smell wafting into their general direction, no one overly intoxicated, no dick-copters, no fizzybangers, no whippits, no diamond, platinum, nor gold showers, no nihilists, and if you bring single malt scotch you best be prepared to share.

if it during play it was given to me by the owner. :P
