JG came through again. I got an old style C19 hammer, and single lobe trigger. Im hoping the old style hammer works better in my walz project body. If I can get the hammer part down, Ill get motivation to finish the rest.

Nothing exciting. Just a 5 pack of detents for a BT Combat/JT Icon (hopefully). The detent in the Icon i recently bought was toast. Looks just like the ones in the BT. One of mine needed a detent anyway so even if they don’t work in the Icon it wasn’t a waste.

Snagged this body kit with Exalt back cap. I think I got a steal for what I paid considering it looks like new and the barrel has never been out of the plastic. This will go on the Emek I just picked up as a backup/loaner.

Also got some Carbon SC base layer pants in.

Another neat local pickup. HK’s first private label marker, an Infinity Legend. Just put a new battery and air in and it rips.

I originally mixed it up with a Hybrid Fusion, which I was more familiar with. Been doing some digging on it and it's a neat marker. Nice to add something other than black or red to the collection as well!

Last week I got a Liquid Paintball Bang Switch for my Gmek. Love the feel of it so far! Also some new lenses to keep my Profilers going.

Non paintball item: some crazy big cedar rounds from a local arborist. These will be part of my heat for next fall & winter That’s an 8lb splitting maul laying against them. Glad I have a 16yo son 😏

I've noticed the same thing. Fir isn't bad to split by hand. Most everything else I save until I can borrow my buddy's wood splitter. Busting those up is some serious work. An old axiom about "wood warms you twice" comes to mind.

Doesn't cedar split a lot like ash? Where the grain weaves together so it splits hard, and even when it splits the fibers hang on? I grew up splitting wood, but it was all oak, maple, birch, and ash. Didnt get much cedar.

I’ve split mostly Doug for, maple, and ash here. Ash wasn’t all that bad, maple was really inconsistent because the grain wobbles all over the place. But all three of those are denser woods than cedar, which seems spongy in comparison. It just absorbs the impact.

And yes, all this splitting will warm me at least twoce. After splitting it has to be stacked in the wood shed for drying 😉
