Showed up yesterday afternoon.

Some of you may recall my affinity for classic Thinkpads. Last year my T420 ate shit when my girlfriend dropped it down the stairs. It still runs, but the battery cracked pretty bad, and no longer connected with the chassis.

I have been on the lookout for a good deal on a T480. IMO, the last true ThinkPad. Sure, it doesn't have the classic IBM keyboard, or a true docking station, but this is as close to the modern "ultrabook" as the Thinkpads got while still allowing you to maximize the performance. Compared to my fully spec'd out T420, this has the Quad-core i5-8350, the backlit keyboard, an IPS display, and currently 16gb of RAM, but I've got 32 on the way.

I probably check ebay 20-30 times a day and every now and then something good/cool pops up. Scored this 99 sto minicocker in a really cool black, blue, red ano for 65 bucks shipped, happy he actually shipped it. Definitely needs a good cleaning and tear down. The grips look to be kapp gloss purple grips someone spray painted black. I've got a gloss black set of inception pneumatics and some other nicer parts I'm gonna try using on my new project here.

08 Ego that's had just over 10 cases shot through it. Gonna have to make sure to cycle this one monthly so the noid doesn't make it a paperweight.

Just be careful not to over tighten the grip screws and it should last a long time. I have that exact 08 Ego that has had massive amounts of paint through it. Look for the SL LP valve for it and turn the LPR 1.5 turns in from flush on stock settings. It will shoot butter smooth and takes the bark out of the shot.

hit up a flea market this morning and saw the 68 special in a pile of vm68s and spyders. He's not the type to give things away, but I offered him 60 for it and I came home with it. Aired it up and she shoots no leaks.

I also built that mincocker I got in the mail the other day. Body had a few issues, but managed to get her working nicely

JeeperCreeper I bought that Mokal Fokus and it reminded me how much I'm I enjoy shooting a blowback. I saw the KDIII runs at 300 psi and has a single trigger. So I had to give it a try. I'll probably be shooting this on walk-on days when I feel like switching it up.

Decent haul yesterday. Ordered a new Method PB Axe poppet. I was surprised that it also came with a free gun stand! Got a skull back cap for the 170R. I know they're stupid but I wanted one when they came out so with them on sale for 50% off I couldn't resist. Also got a Mastadon proflex. I like the Boss proflex I bought and had seen these were out. It matches my gray setup pretty good. Dude was in Hawaii and I didn't realize until he shipped it. It came 2 days sooner than it was supposed to. I have a mirrored lens coming in for it this week.
