The Official ~kaos~Feedback Thread of Awesomeness

Picked up a stock '98 autococker from this gent. It shipped quickly with tracking, and arrived exactly as described, but that's not what I want to talk about. It's how it was packaged that deserves attention.

My local PO frequently employs the Hulk, and packages often come drop-kicked from off planet to my door. I noted this in our PMs back and forth, and was assured that all would be well.

Sure enough, when the box arrived, it was dented and crushed at the corners. I cried a little. But when I opened the box, all was forgotten.

People, this package could have been dropped from space with a kitten inside and been okay. Honestly, this man should put on a clinic on how to package markers for shipping.

First, he partially disassembled it. Beaver tail, reg and ASA were all taken off to avoid wasting box space.

The marker itself was zip tied to a quadruple-thick section of honeycomb cardboard that widely overreached the silhouette of the marker. Beaver tail, reg, and ASA were wrapped up, bundled together, and taped to the marker board. The barrel was wrapped and taped in its own padded sleeve. Then another layer of honeycomb cardboard was put on top of the sandwich, including a custom-molded pocket for the feedneck, with packing peanuts filling up the nooks and crannies.

Then the sandwich went into the shipping box and every remaining square millimeter of space around it was filled with packing peanuts.

Aside from a custom-fitted case, it could not have been better packaged.

Think about it. If your unicorn has its horn broken off during shipping, it's not a unicorn anymore. Shipping is often treated as an afterthought, and it's probably the most important part of the whole transaction. The attention to detail that went into this particular transaction was ridiculous, and deserves a review of equivalent detail.

This man has my respect. Buy with confidence.

    The end.

Thank you for the many kind words. I just try to do on my end what I can to protect what I'm sending. It's a shame the people that handle our packages see them as something to take their daily frustrations out on. We all have bad days, I understand that but why inflict damage on the packages?? So I decided to accept the challenge... let them do their thing, I'll pack my shipments like they're gunna go thru WW3... Enjoy!

***SOLD***SOLD*** Body and internals are vintage '95 WGP, top drilled for lug adjust. Newer pneumatics & slider frame, I believe they're off a 2k or '01... work great. ANS Quick Pull venturi bolt, stock WGP hpr & barrel. Nothing fancy but she's a solid shooter.... no leaks or issues I'm aware of, ready for play!

Snagged a 2k sniper and some pocket hoppers for a fair price. He threw in some extra springs too. Shipped nice and fast, also responded to questions I had after purchase quickly. Good seller.

I bought a '98 r/f WGP Autococker from him. I haven't received it yet, but I'm pretty sure I've bought from him before (might have been on the old MCB), so I'm sure it will arrive just fine, and all will have been smooth.

Edit: Turns out it was actually in my mailbox as I was writing this. It arrived just fine, and all was good.

Thx BH, the frame is awesome.... lust needed a little love (and lube). I'll have to get a pic of it one of the '04 bodies.
And this week would have been a great week for Beers and Classic Cars, "Cruising the Coast" is in full swing.
