I usually use the "supports" feature of my slicer to add the appropriate supports, but on the new version of the Drop10 I designed a support into the model. It works soooooo well.

Nice work. It's been interesting to see how this project has evolved over time.

I've been decking out my Ender 3 since I got it for Christmas. Also made my first iteration for my Mech Ion SMAV 3 mount.

I've been plugging away at a couple projects lately.

First, I'm steadily printing out the parts I need to build a few taco styled mag pouches for ZetaMags. I have the shock cord on order as well as another roll of PETG to complete the project. I expect this will probably take me at least another three days of printing to complete the set.

I also got back my sample from Shapeways for my Emek bolt caps. Holy crap, am I impressed with this PA12 stuff. It looks like it could have come stock on the Emek.

I broke out the TPU the other day to make some tube caps, and had one of those AHA! moments... TPU Drop10! Redesigned a little to be a press fit on the hopper neck and omit the upper oring.

Frankly, a set of four took me more than a week to print and assemble. While they work very well, it would be far more cost effective to buy them from a store than to pay for my time and materials.

Ugh! I've never had this happen before, but I suppose i was long past due for my first layer shift. On a 30 hour print. While I was at work. It was no small shift either. I was actually pretty impressed how I could manage to pull off a two inch layer shift. I'm gutted.

Finally got around to designing a top tube for this. Put sights from a glock 34 on it. If I printed it again, I might add a little more structure to the back half of it. It came out slightly bent because of the length and thin structure in the back. Not bad, but you can notice when you're looking down it. Printed with i.materialise in MJF nylon.

This is in a stainless cocker threaded body from KPCS. Shorty freak barrel from Doc's Machine.

I was having problems with tight threads and fancy details in the thingiverse thread protectors I found so I made an easy print, bubble threaded cap. The little hemispheres are hard to see, but they are three columns of 14tpi nubs with just enough grab. I'll put it on thingiverse.

Broke my APP 50 lid at the hinge, so I made a speed feed for it. I think running my Ninjaflex through the dehydrator made the filament want to run a few degrees cooler. It holds a full load of paint upside down with shaking, but is still easy to push in.

Very cool! TPU is very hydroscopic so yeah , always dehydrat before you print with it.

I wasn't going to post these hooks, but I've been using them for about a month and printed some more today. Pretty handy for hanging delicate stuff off of the home depot shelves in the garage.

In my long running infatuation of Mechanical Ions, I started making trays to help run them without a body. They were more of a base for making new bodies but I published it to Thingiverse anyway. Today I modeled up a minimalist body to run your full on Ion/XE/Mech while still having your eyes and detents covered. Showed it to Mkeeks and she said it had a Mando/Fett vibe to it... so I rolled with it.

I'll probably start doing actual modeling on it soon now that the primatives are done. Once it looks good, it'll end up on Thingiverse too!

I love this body! Please let us know when it ends up published, I'd be interested to see this with the powder coated frame I'm about to run.

Speaking of Ions, do you have any thoughts for power button decals, or am I stuck with this? https://www.hustlepaintball.com/Smar...p-onoffion.htm

Looks like I should just 3D print a button and laser etch "Power" into the recess where the sticker belongs.

And this is why I ditched Tapatalk... I didn't see this comment till now, more than a month later!

Thanks! I'm still looking to do a little more modeling on it. I've printed a couple for some people to test out but nothing really in terms of official release or sales (for those that can't print.)

Decals? I've been thinking of doing some that fill in the button hole and makes the power decal spot flush. It will be all one piece so it won't be functional and more for those with mechs.
