          I bought a marker with a detent like this.
          soaked it in dawn and hot water.
          Works now.

            I have in the past recovered stuck detents like this, but I'm sure not all can be recovered. Who knows if this one could be recovered. New ones like it are only slightly more, and are guaranteed to work.

          I agree the auction is ridiculous.
          I'm just putting it out there that if anyone has a stuck detent, it may be salvageable.
