I had a Mirage that started leaking because of a bad cupseal. I used a pencil eraser as a fix. It worked!

No pic on hand, but I always have a few zipties with the gear ...
R repair harnesses and masks, hold guns together, even used it as detent on a cocker once πŸ™„

        details on the detent story.
did you fold it into the barrel before you screwed it on? did it work?

Took the detent out, stuck the end of the ziptie in the hole and held it in place with another ziptie around the body ... Worked well enough for a game or 2, but I wouldn't recommend it if there is any other solution ...
The detent was frozen forward preventing the bolt from closing ...

I used a ziptie to fix an Automag wire detent last month. I was a moron and was using the detent backwards so I cut off the end of the part that keeps it from moving around in the slot because it was catching on the barrel. When I figured out what I'd done the detent wouldn't sit still in the groove. So I found a ziptie on the ground and cut off the ramped end and stuck it into the detent groove and the wire dug in nicely and it worked great for the rest of the day.

RTR Billy this into the feed gate for the Gargoyle. Such a simple improvement just in case.

I had a bucket changer that was leaking. Seals were all fine but the 12ies were just a little too short. Dropped a penny in the bottom of the bucket as a space for the day.

Years ago i had an Etek that leaked from the solenoid gasket. Even after replacing it with a new gasket it leaked. It had been reannoed at some point before i got it so i just figured it wasn’t the best anno job & must have been uneven. Out of frustration i bought a tube of gasket maker. I filled in the channel where the gasket would sit, let it set a while (long enough to partially dry but not 100% so that it would still be a little flexible) & screwed it back to the body. After it sat long enough to completely dry i aired it up. It sealed up just fine & worked 100% as far as i could tell. Can’t say how long it lasted as i played a couple of days with the Etek & then sold it which was what i did with pretty much everything back then. I did disclose to the buyer the bit of shade tree improv i had done. No idea who i sold it to but I’d be curious to know what ever happened with that gun.

I have a Rainmaker. Not long after I got it, it would leak like a sieve and wouldn't cycle.
Using nothing but some spare Autococker pneumatics, an air switch, some scraps from the parts bin, a mill, and a lathe, it no longer leaks.
