    Tip'n'trick 2023

    Hello Y'all,

I did a thing last year and it ended up condensed here: Tip'n'trick: Walzmas 2022 edition
    So, lets do it again!

Add something, share your new found wonder, share your old dog treat ... up to you

The prizes: leather patches with cool designs! (Im probably going to make half a dozen or so)
How to win: share something, winners will be selected based on originality, votes, and how useful i feel about it.

    Here are some samples:

Ps: straight out of the laser they're a bit dirty, once clean the lines are sharp.

Open to all with a good trick on this one πŸ‘

    Thanks,
    X

    Can we repeat old tricks?
Do they all need to be in one big post, or lots of little ones?
    Can I bribe you?

Random stuff I can think off:
    1) Wear a cup. Football shorts with a hard cup fits fine for athletic activity and will save the ole wedding tackle.
    2) "Walk On Camo": Wearing old jeans with volleyball pads underneath, and a generic pullover hoodie makes the mood relaxed with n00bs
    3) Shower cleaning squeegee for cleaning lenses after getting gogged
    4) Hand warmers in the dump pouch to keep 12ies warm in the winter. Makes for better velocity and efficiency.
    Velcor will save us...

Jordan yeah probably not great if the valve nut has a tough breakaway but with some #10-32 nuts and a ratchet it's a good enough tool otherwise.

When replacing an azodin regulators reg seat, instead of tearing up the press fitted cap with channel locks or a vise you can chuck up the part in a drill and twist off the cap using an allen wrench.

Walmart has been selling off the rest of their pb stuff at incredible discounts in-store. Check in and see if you can buy pods, squeegees, grenades and 12 grams.

Bargaining Tips: If you make an offer that gets declined, and the item hasn’t sold for a bit, email and politely say your offer still stands if they change their mind. They may accept your offer.

And if you’re lucky enough, the seller contacts you and asks if you’re still interested in said item, knock a bit off your last offer and see if they will take it.

Also, alway be polite and respectful. I’ve had people sell me gear packages because I was nicer to deal with than other people.

Got this nice Phantom, among other things, after the seller contacted me to see if I was still interested in their gear.

Oh boy look at that Montneel patch.
I can say I don’t have a ton of tricks but simple stuff.
Shotgun shell holder for a shotgun stock fits perfect around your wrist to hold 12 grams.
-014 O ring for Montneel valve body is the correct fit
Best tips , ask someone if you don’t know the answer ,be cool on the field of play, have fun and laugh because paintball is fun.

Cocker cupseals work with CA Sheridans - they're virtually the same valve anyways.

MAPP gas is better than propane in almost every way when soldering brass.

When drilling from underneath on a Sheridan to enlarge the transfer port, K-series measure 3.5" from the rear of the bottom tube to the center of the transfer port. P-series are around an inch closer to the rear - accurate measurement coming soon.

Drill with a 7/32" bit and tap the hole for 1/4"-20 or 1/4"-28. (I always go with the coarse thread, it's easier to find those setscrews at my local hardware store.) Screws are 1/4"-20 x 1/4".

Sheridans, Autocockers, and Automags all share the same gripframe mounting screw positions - so all frames from any of the three will fit any of the three. You will need an adapter for flat-top frames to fit Sheridan lower tubes better, though, and some mods may be required in regards to mounting hole diameters.

And God turned to Gabriel and said: β€œI shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

β€œBut Lord,” asked Gabriel, β€œIs this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, β€œJust wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Besides the N3 I bought yesterday this is my second newest purchase. First marker I ever used was a Brass Eagle tiger shark and my first mask was one of those 280 huge things so I got a fondness for BE I guess you could say.

A pack out makes a fantastic gear bag alternative that’s also hard sided. Rigid, Milwaukee, dewalt, Lowe’s brand, harbor freight all offer different variations at different price points.

A $10 ball sizing tool and a quick average calculation is the only way to make a barrel kit worthwhile. I also like to reccomend tossing your paintballs in a sack with a microfiber cloth or paper towels to remove excess oils.

Do the size gauges go low enough? I have one but it only goes down to .682, I think.

I always just try a handful through an insert and average it out that way.

Pretty well sold out, and not sure if the guy is making them anymore since I’ve seen big brands copy this, but as far as removing excess oils, these are the best.

I wrap my Phantom velocity tool with just enough tape so it fits nicely in the barrel and keeps it centered so it's easier to find that damn adjustment screw.

Do strange things with weird people. Life is way more fun that way.
You don't need to peel ginger when cooking with it. If you do peel it, a spoon works well.
Dollar Tree sells reading glasses for $1.25/pair. Don't buy them anywhere else.

I use a tackle box to carry all my paintball tools and bits and bobs. OG Freak inserts fit perfectly in the little compartments and barrels and phantom T-stocks fit in the open bottom section.

Bondhus hex keys are super strong and won't scratch or deform your sockets.

A brass o-ring pick won't mark up aluminum parts or anno as it's a softer metal.

Q-tips are always in the tackle box. They are good for cleaning out o-ring grooves and for getting deep inside the lens groove of Flex frames that inevitably fill up with paint when you get gogged.

I also keep a small wrench with masking tape wrapped around the jaws for removing tank regs (with wrench flats) from non on/off ASA's and for connecting my Phantom's hardline. I put so many idiot marks on that Phantom when I was starting out, never again.

The O-Ring Store sells paintball-specific bulk o-ring kits, including one just for autocockers. For the price it can be a better deal than buying individual rebuild kits.

I wear basketball shorts under my paintball pants. Keeps things breezy and I can change into and out of the paintball pants in public.
