For big games I use a camel back with a large and small pocket. I get to carry water with me for hiking all over, the small pocket carries my wrenches, wallet, phone etc and the large pocket I leave open on top. After dumping a pod I can reach over my head/shoulder and drop it in the backpack as a dump pouch.

Trail running shoes. Better than boots (for me), or way more comfortable than cleats. Ever since I tried them I cant wear anything else.

Shiny, colorful lenses and neon blue shirts are not ideal for woodsball

I have a fancy reflective lens on one of my masks and it’s a ball magnet.

Two standard Paper Towels stuffed into the bottom of a 140 round pod makes them the perfect size to fill 100 round hoppers like a sport shot. This lets you run a standard pack with the right capacity pods for smaller cap hoppers. It works so good I don’t own 100 round pods.

I think a solid trick is to let Chuck E Ducky , packersrule729 and Jonnydread get out in front of you so at least you have a chance of getting some of their left over targets to shoot at.

Spend more time talking about playing paintball on MCB vs actually playing. This way you avoid painful welts, sore and tired muscles, and dirty gear.

Teammates are much easier shoot than the opponents.

Stretch. Stretch before, stretch during and stretch after. Especially if you are over 40…. Played a day without stretching and my legs were jello for the next several days. Lesson learned. Too old for that now.

Second tip , laugh while playing , tell someone who shot you “ good shot “ play like when you started out just because it’s really fun to play paintball. Don’t take this game to serious.
