Be sure to take advantage of PC Part Picker! It's an excellent resource for those that don't want to spend hours learning about the configuration and compatibility limitations/optimizations. One important thing to know is that SLI has been discontinued. NVlink looks similar but really isn't - and there's supposedly no reason to use NVlink for gaming.

To be fair, SLI wasn't exactly the greatest. It seems like performance and utility varied from game to game.

So I had a few auto-notifies set up there, but just noticed you need to have an EVGA account to get a link. I just signed up for one but figured I'd share it here.

Anyone manage to snag one yet?

Still nothing 3080 wise. Rumor mill is that they have cancelled the 20GB/16GB models for the time being as Samsung is having issues with production yields on the new 8NM chipset. This might be a long wait, I was really hoping to have a 3080 for Cyberpunk but now we'll see how it runs on my 2070. Only reason I am a little worried is that the monitor I am using is now 5120x1440.

So they launched with Micron memory and are switching to Samsung? Is that just partner boards? Not sure if it really matters brand wise for GDDR6x.

so, a weird thing happened to me today

i got an email from EVGA

telling me that the auto stock notify i clicked the evening of launch (which has since gotten converted to a spot in their new que system)

now, when you get an email, it means its you have 8 hours to buy a card..

I had to create a new account, because the EVGA account has to match up with the submitted email

made a new account, waited a few minutes, tried the link again and i was able to buy a 3080 XC3 Ultra (overclocked base card, not the FTW3)

Congrats, I think that'll be the first one on mcb if it goes through.

i clicked on EVERYTHING, even the 750 one thats admittedly a terrible deal ($50 for a metal backplate? for real?)

hopefully you will get an email soon as well

Noooish. I might list my Strix 1080 ti soon when the 3080's become available. Which is why I dont mind that Cyberpunk got delayed again. I want to play it in all its RTX glory

I really wish the prices on the 20 series would drop... they are still $700+
