I feel like firing up Fallout 4 again. I never played the DLC’s. Are there any good mods out there that dont alter the vanilla game too much (not really into silly mods or crafting / settlement building anymore since i already did that when i first played.

I'd love to play a bunch of the dlcs but I don't have a computer, only console so that eliminates like 80% of the dlc stuff for me

Made it through episode 3 so far. Really enjoying it

Or actually New Vegas. Everyone regards it as much bettet than Fallout 4, and I’ve never played it. I just saw on Nexus mods they have a ton of re-texture mods and weather mods to modernize it

New Vegas is the absolute best for all the story and characters. Just expect shooting and movement to feel crappy if you’re coming from FO4. I’d play the Outer Worlds too if you liked fallout

The team that worked on FNV (Obsidian, I think?) did an amazing job with the story and character development. Like chops said, it's going to feel very dated, but IMO it's worth it.

Finished the series, really enjoyed it. Can't wait for whatever new stuff is coming for Fallout.

I am watching an episode a night and I find it interesting but a little "gappy" and I am not a fan of stories that go back and forth in time as a steady mechanism of story telling. I think my issue is I never played Fallout so the nostalgia pull is not there in the stories. I will finish the season but can not really recommend it from my perspective. My son in-law loves it but he played the games....

I could see that. There are tons of little things that really stand out to a player of the game that I'm sure you didn't see. Stuff like the bobble heads, design of weapons and the basically "NPC" character design. It's all pretty spot on for the game. Heck even when the dog gets a stimpack injection. The way it basically instantly works and the dog is back on his feet in seconds is exactly how it works in fallout 4

            SPOILER BELOW kind of

did we ever figure out what the experiment was in Lucy's vault? That one is kind of bugging me.

Gullibility, would be my guess for Vault 33 as I understand the vault structure my son in-law explained.

Trbo323 yes absolutely. It wasn’t quite an experiment in the typical vault Tec way. SPOILER vault 31 houses Bud’s Buds , the junior execs from before the war . 32 and 33 are unknowing breeding grounds for said execs so vault Tec can re-emerge into the wasteland as a band of super managers
