Spyder with Icon E frame skipping shots

I’m working on fixing a Spyder Victor 2 with an Icon E frame. Did a total disassembly, everything looks good, but when aired up the sear doesn’t always release. To the solenoid clicks but the bolt doesn’t cycle. It will shoot the odd time, or is fine if so shoot slowly but and remotely rapid fire results in a click but no shot.

Any ideas? My air tank is at 2k, is a standard 3000psi tank.

Solenoid looked to have had a piece of tape on it at one time. It looks like it connected the two pieces. Maybe a sort of cheap way to prevent over travel?

Same thing happens to me on sear trippers with a low battery. Other than that, maybe a Spyder 9.6v? I don't know if the 32 degrees versions need those.

I’ll change out the battery and see if that helps. Found a manual online and they recommend a regular name brand 9v battery.

New battery, if that doesn't do it I would start looking at the capacitor. See how strong it's tripping the sear

Just the age of those frames at this point can be causing the capacitor to do out

Yup, battery. I was making a mountain out of a mile hole. At one point I thought I’d just put in a new battery, but ended up taking everything apart instead of doing the easy thing.

Thanks, I’ll get it back to the owner.
