Removing ancient paint from old marker

Recently acquired an automag that seems like it chopped some paint 10 years ago and was never cleaned thoroughly since. Having trouble getting the old paint out of the body in the breech area. Have tried hot water, dawn, medium toothbrush, and a scouring sponge. It comes off if i can scrape it with a finger nail, but there's no way to reach all the way into the body. Is there something that will dissolve the paint without damaging a black teflon automag body?

Alcohol is my go to. Get a decent amount on a barrel swab and go to town. May have to leave the barrel swab in and let it soak for a hot minute.

I had a similar problem and a stiff Tippmann pull though squeegee combined with the other things you've mentioned is what did it for me.

I battled with a similarly crusted Carbine body and eventually won with repeated soaks in hot water and scrubbing with a cheap barrel swab and dish soap. I think I tried a couple long soaks in rubbing alcohol, too.

Mostly it was elbow grease. If the water keeps getting dirty you're making progress.

long soak in hot soapy water, bottle brush with plastic bristles ( for dishes etc.) roughly the right diameter on a cordless drill should get it sparkly in there.

Thanks for all the suggestions, this stuff is in there like glue.

Tried carb cleaner, no dice. I let it soak in soapy water last night to try and soften the stuff up. It seems like physical agitation is the most effective so far.... I need to find a decently stiff bottle brush. I have it clean enough that I dont think it will affect shooting but I will keep at it, especially if i find the right brush.

Progress pictures.... the pic with the bolt installed is what it looked like after warm soapy water + tooth brush, following pics are from after i found some bottle brushes and spent 30 minutes over the sink scrubbing.
