PE SL3 vs ID Gen 2 HPR

Which is the better regulator: the Planet Eclipse SL3 (like the one that PBGateway sells/sold for a while) or the Inception Designs Gen 2 HPR?

I like the SL3 when it looks right because I just like that eclipse used to make sweet upgrade parts and its nice to see an aftermarket part from them that isn't an expensive ASA.

And the inception feels a bit like rebranded WGP.

I like the look of the inception a lot and would use it whenever it looks right.

Both designs are very sound. Choose that one that looks more correct with whatever you're slapping it on.

Performance wise, who even knows. I've hardly ever seen a good regulator test and at 10.5bps does it even matter? Argument could be made in favor of the inception only because of the commonality of the parts with the plentiful though aged WGP regs. I don't know if reg parts from the current crop of eclipse guns are compatible with the SL3 or if it will start to be abandonware from them. That is a consideration.

For my money though, I value the SL3 higher only because it is rarer and eclipse really does have a stellar reputation for quality.

Candidly, I will likely be shooting more like 10.5 balls per minute (if that) so that's good to know. Thank you for the input; it's much appreciated

Between those two, I'd probably go with PE from a performance and maintenance standpoint
