Considerations with high pressure and air fittings?

Any do's or don'ts when it comes to air fittings on a high pressure setup (AGD)? Will any fittings do?

Don’t buy cheap macroline. Lots of mags go with braided lines especially if you are going to feed it super high pressure. But standard fittings and good thick wall macro should work fine unless you are running higher then average pressures. What input pressure you looking to run? You should be good with macro sub 800psi.

Thanks Chuck. I have high pressure output tank, pushin about 1100 PSI... I noticed my CCM fittings have been finicky and prone to air up hissing, which eventually stops after a few shots.

I also suspect this ANS macroline is garbage... if you have a suitable alternative, would love to hear.

I would go with braided line at those pressures. You can try replacing the inner sealing Oring on the CCM fittings but I’m actually having the same issues with my CCM fittings running 12g on my Stock Class J6. The CCM fittings don’t like the constant on/off and higher pressures that a 12g can put out. You can make them work but they can be finicky. (I hate finicky)

I found if you taper the end of the macro with a pencil sharpener it helps the line pass the sealing Oring without damaging it so they seal better. But the CCM fittings are not made for the pressure you are running.

Braided is the way to go If you don’t want to mess with it ever again.

Just got to figure out how you want to run it. You can check out AGDs website they offer a bunch of options. (The lines with the black coating on them is just shrink wrap)

        Something like this.

^ I concur with this. Come to find that the working pressure on most macroline and fittings is critically low and honestly dangerous. I am surprised there aren't more occurrences, but as a whole pressure is coming down too.

          Use braided. Good braided.

Keep in mind a fitting with a service pressure of 1.5Kip have an "official" burst pressure around 4.5Kip ... Probably won't blow before 5 or 6Kip

Now, the cheapo plastic tube is differet ... Someone on here used to sell the good stuff bulk ...

              That would be Maggot.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."
