Ditch 9v throwaways in Warp and Hopper

I'm running a warpfeed with an old 18v revy and I'd like to ditch the 9v batteries for LiPo packs.

I believe I found an 11.1v pack that will fit in the warp battery cavity, so now I'm looking at the revy. Is it possible to run those with a LiPo? Is it possible to run both the warp and the revy from the same pack or is it more work that its worth?

My main goal is to not blow up the warp board, so are there any precautions I need to take other than avoiding reversed polarity?

    Are rechargeable 9v’s not a thing/option?

Probably, but I have a good lipo charger and no 9v charger. I also want to bump up the voltage a bit and potentially run the whole rig on a single pack, which I cant do with individual 9vs.

Do it. I hope it works out! No idea if your reasoning is sound but it would be great to see that setup because it would be a lot lighter weight and still have better runtime.

These two things are somewhat opposite though. Nobody will be able to tell you how much voltage is too much. If you want to be safe, they were designed around 9v alkaline so if you want to go lipo you would need to also get some kind of a voltage regulator (I'm forgetting the exact name right now) in order to really be safe.

Lipo cells come in multiples of 3.7v, ni-cad (old school rechargeable) are in multiples of 1.2v

Idk what the warp needs but if by chance it's 18v then a 5 cell lipo will put out 18.5 so that would definitely be an option

The problem with 9v and lipo is you either need a 2 cell which is 7.4v or a 3 cell which is 11.1v. either option is pretty far off from 9v. So the only other option is to run a higher voltage and then step it down which typically can not be done inside of the confines of a battery that will fit into the device so you are looking at external wiring

I know they can handle at least 12v as there was a 12v mod back in the day that let you plug in 2x 9v, so I would imagine that the 11.1v shouldn't be an issue.
