Depends on the price, IMO. Unless the Spyder is like 60 bucks, I would get an Impulse, BKO Bushmaster, or a Timmy, You can get base Impulses for 80-120. You could also find stock Matrices for about 120, and those would be the absolute best bang for your buck, but they're spoolies, so apples and oranges. But in terms of stacked tube poppets, you can find base Impulses and BKO Bushmasters for around 120, and Timmies for around 200. Angels are starting to go up. But you can find some LED's and LCD's for around $200, but be weary of haivng to buy parts for them to get em going. They can be money pits to restore.
Yep, I'd say that even if it's shooting, I wouldnt go past 50-60. And even then, I still think getting an Impulse for about 80-100 is a better purchase.
I myself would prolly go up to $80 shipped if I were in the market for something like this & if that's a T-Board in it. I believe the Scenario Dreams T-Boards are rather sought after & are no longer being made.
It has a reg... Do you know what it has for internal upgrades? Most Spyders run unregulated, so I'd ask if there's an aftermarket valve or something in it.
Not to mention you never know what valve could be in it, Ive picked up similar looking setups and have found anything from a new designz valve to an AKA tornado. Id say get it and clean it up and get it going again!
WTB: Sovereign threaded barrel and Sovereign 1 parts
I don't realistically think there's a lot of money in it for resell. However, grab it on the cheap and clean it up. It may turn out to be a sweet little marker.
My experiences on finding upgraded valves is not good. I find it's the last thing a layman would try to change.

Sure but considering someone was willing to drill it for eyes and set up what looks like a t board for it I doubt we are dealing with an average layman here

I'm not discounting that in this case. In general though, it's unlikely grabbing a Spyder will yield an aftermarket valve when one knows not if the valve has been upgraded.
Not worth anything. But it probably shoots about as good as one of those can shoot. It makes me happy to see it, the old days of modifying your cheapish starter gun to increase its functionality.
I mean, I come from the time when the only thing you DONT WANT is a stock barrel. Now people not only want a stock barrel but they expect it to be good. The future!
