I've got an expansion chamber that holds air...

It's super weird. It acts like a reg because it'll hold air and then do that reverse bleed after a few minutes/after I cycle the last few shots. It's the stereotypical giant silver foregrip style. No set screws. No external adjustments can be made. I'm a bit weirded out that it behaves like this. I've got it on my "winter beater" Spyder right now, more for a nice foregrip than anything else. It's running at full pressure because of this, but that's neither here or there.

I'm not concerned for my safety (or should I be?) I'm just kinda weirded out that it does this.

What's the cylinder in your air line before it? Could it be a check valve?

Yea, try losing that push button quick disconnect , and thread /seal right to the 90 degree fitting....see if problem goes away.

sweet mako storm frame by the way!

I second this. When I saw that QD it reminded me of some of the one way QDs I have used in the past.

Fixed regulator? Have you opened it up?

Yes, Staubli RBL or RBE series quick release coupling. Either the plug or the socket has an internal one way shut-off. From looking at the pic of yours I’m guessing it’s the socket. Push the button on the socket and I bet the air left in the EC and the marker empties immediately.

            Well then...
It's definitely late for me to be trying this stuff out so I'll definitely have to see if this magic barrel on my expansion chamber is truly indeed what you guys say it is. If that's the case, I'm going to move it to my Mech Ion as my "safety" since it just doesn't have one, by design. Saves me from buying a new on/off rail.

            Reporting my findings tomorrow afternoon!

OK, sounds like like Stubli it is! I just aired up the Winter Beater and then pulled the disconnect. The Expansion Chamber decompressed and no air came out of the hose. This is big for my Mech ion! Thanks everyone!
