CP Inline Regulators: Dow 30 or 55?

The manual says to use Dow55 but I've heard Do33 (light) can be used in if you service the reg on a more regular basis. What do you all use? The performance is unaffected?

    Thanks!

Doesn't Dow55 swell o-rings? I generally use Dow33 and have never experienced any problems with mine.

The only time I remember a recommendation to use Dow 55 was with the old Intimidators.

33... 55 is only used on marqs and g6r's

      33 for CP regs

55 is very thick and swells o rings (supposedly, I've never actually measured before and after) most Bob long stuff calls for 55 but outside of that there's only a handful of places where it's called out for. There's some specialty applications and custom stuff it can be useful for but as a general rule of thumb, stick to 33. I've even rebuilt Bob long stuff with 33 and it's been fine

I figured Dow 33 would work jut fine. But the CP V3 regulator's manual does suggest Dow55 while the V2 manual says either Dow33 or 55 will work...

Just curious if anyone actually followed the instructions. I have actually avoided CP regs until learning all CP products were made in the USA a few months ago. They've been very impressive and wanted to keep it that way. Thanks!

I use 33, it works very well. I use palmers oil in all palmers stuff and that also works well.

try both and let us know what happens

I was considering 55 after a rebuild and 33 afterward. When I spoke with CP about two months ago I was asked to call back when a retired employee was planning to visit. She was the only person knowledge enough about paintball products to answer my very basic questions. My point is... I would not be surprised if the employee who wrote the V3 Inline Regulator manual even knew the difference between Dow 33 and 55
