Hey everyone — new to MCB 😜
I’ve been seeing posts across different paintball forums about dead WGP Worr Frames, and it seems like a common failure point is the membrane switch. I’m in the same boat — this is my third frame with the same issue. The stock switches tend to either barely work or fail completely, and finding replacements at this point is nearly impossible.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working on prototyping a replacement switch assembly for my own frame, focusing on improving both durability and reliability.
Switch Assembly Redesign
Here’s what I’m doing differently:
The goal is to create something that feels better, lasts longer, and solves the common failure points of the original design — not just a temporary fix.
I’ve got the electronics side mostly finalized and am currently working through the last few details before sending things out for professional manufacturing.
Right now I’m mainly trying to gauge interest — would anyone else be interested in something like this for their Worr Frame?
Open to feedback, ideas, or anything you’d want to see in a replacement like this.

Altered patterns for the led indicator window on the silicon button pad are possible as I'm making those in house.

P.S. I’m also working on replacement eyes for the EBlade / Worr Frame.
To be clear — I’m not redesigning the system here. The goal is to replicate the original reflective eye behavior and form factor as closely as possible while improving durability, and to add another place where people can source them in the future.

Switch Assembly Redesign
Here’s what I’m doing differently:
- Replacing the fragile dome switch with a sealed tactile switch to eliminate issues with moisture and wear
- Moving away from the flexible PCB alone (which can flex and delaminate) to a rigid-backed design
- Developing a custom silicone button pad that’s molded specifically for the new electronics

- Matching original optical layout and package style
- Maintaining compatibility with the stock board
- Recreating a reliable supply
