Empire Mini GS Teardown

Recently picked up an Empire Mini GS and thought I’d do a quick teardown of it.



So we’ll start by removing the rubber front cover. First thing you’ll notice is that the front battery housing has changed significant. It’s no longer metal, and there’s no door on the battery location, instead it is held in place by the rubber grip.

Next removing the grips:



And separate the grip frame from the body. Just like the original Mini, the rear frame bolt also retains the bolt.



And here’s the view of bottom of the body where the grip frame connects:

Returning back to the lower frame, to remove the front grip you need to undo 3 bolts, one at with top, and two at the bottom accessed from the front of the plastic grip:



Removing the plastic front grip allows you to access the board, and would be required to if you were installing a deadline board.

And finally the internals, minus the spring that didn’t want to come out of the body.

Just remember when putting the marker back together again, fully assemble the lower frame first. Due to the pins on the board you cannot remove or install the plastic grip
piece if the frame is connected to the body.

I haven’t had the opportunity to put any paint or even air through this yet, so no comments on how it shoots, but ai do like the full of the Mini GS over the standard Mini despite the front grip now being plastic. Overall the milling is nicer than a standard Mini and the inclusion of an on/off finally is a major improvement.

A Mini GS is what i used most of last summer & i have to say it’s just a really decent shooter.

Finally got to shoot this. Real nice feel, quick trigger and smooth shot. I do like these and feel the GS is a good upgrade over the standard Mini, especially the on/off. I just have no reason to shoot that much paint.
